Kusan: City of Wolves Review and Feature Overview

Review Kusan: City of Wolves through its confirmed combat, story, progression, stages, soundtrack, and platform features.

Kusan: City of Wolves builds a clear identity from ruthless top-down combat, a rain-soaked pixel-art city, comic-panel storytelling, and a Korean hip-hop soundtrack by Loptimist. CIRCLEfromDOT develops the game and PQube publishes it.

Combat and progression

Jin combines firearms with the War Hand and Quantum Knife. The game rewards movement, precision, parries, chained actions, and efficient use of upgrades. Bolts and Cores unlock abilities, while Techtrix turns loadout planning into a limited-grid puzzle.

Campaign structure

The full game offers 54 hand-crafted stages across multiple chapters. Missions can be replayed to discover secrets, refine strategies, and improve S/SS-Ranks. PQube estimates a typical playthrough at 8–12 hours, with more for completionists.

Story and presentation

Jin is a former soldier turned fixer trying to save Haru from a conspiracy consuming Kusan. Dynamic comic panels carry the story, while Loptimist's soundtrack reinforces the game's distinctive pace and atmosphere.

Platforms

Confirmed platforms are Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The official launch list does not include PS4 or Xbox One. PQube stated that Steam Deck play worked but the game was not yet Steam Deck Verified at the time of its FAQ.

Live critic scores and Steam review percentages can change. This overview therefore avoids presenting a temporary aggregate, unverified performance benchmark, or community report as a fixed fact.
